Evan Luckey is Harbor Architects’ newest team member, bringing a creative, technically curious perspective to his role as Associate Architect. With a Master of Architecture from Woodbury University and a background spanning architecture, visual effects, fabrication, and hand illustration, Evan approaches design as both a practical problem-solving process and a means of clear visual communication.
Before joining the architectural profession, Evan worked in the visual effects industry, where he developed a strong foundation in collaboration, iteration, and responding thoughtfully to creative feedback. His work required coordinating with clients, artists, supervisors, and project teams while maintaining visual consistency across evolving project goals. This experience shaped the way he approaches architecture: with careful listening, clear communication, and a focus on refining ideas until they meet both functional needs and design intent.
Evan’s architectural experience includes Revit drafting for residential rebuild projects in his community following local wildfires, giving him practical exposure to construction documentation, detailing, code research, and the real impact design can have in helping communities rebuild. During his time at Woodbury University, he also worked as a teaching assistant, supporting student work with woodshop tools, laser cutters, 3D printers, kilns, and other fabrication methods. This hands-on technical experience complements his digital and visual design background, allowing him to move comfortably between concept, craft, and documentation.
Outside the office, Evan continues to pursue creative work through gouache painting and miniature painting. Originally from La Crescenta, California, he has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and church summer camp programs, and since moving to Grays Harbor has become involved with the Driftwood Players theater. Through both his professional and community work, Evan brings curiosity, care, and a strong sense of service to the people and places around him.
