Riverside Building Improvements

Quigg Bros., Inc.

This project, located on the river and directly off the highway leading to popular tourist destinations, posed a unique challenge. The old building had been left sitting for years and had become derelict.  The client originally envisioned renovating it as a waterfront gathering space for friends and family, but due to the building's location on pilings over the river, code restrictions prevented the addition of plumbing.  The only permissible use for this building was storage.

Our team collaborated with the client to craft a new vision for the structure. While public use wasn't feasible, the building's prime location offered an exciting opportunity. Partnering with the museum across the street, the space was transformed into a showcase for historic vehicles.

The renovation incorporated expansive glass overhead doors, allowing for captivating views of the museum's collection. The revitalized building enhances the Hoquiam waterfront, and serves as a captivating attraction for tourists and residents alike, drawing them to the rich history housed within.
