Alan Gozart is a native of Aberdeen.  He started his professional career with Arnold N. Andring AIA & Associates in 1973 as a drafter.  He resumed college studies in 1975 and operated his own part-time design/drafting firm for a two and one half year period while completing his master degree.  Alan returned to work with Mr. Andring in August 1977.  In September 1979, the firm name was changed to Andring & Gozart AIA, Architects and Planners. Following Mr. Andring's death, Alan assumed ownership of the firm.  In April 1999, the firm became Harbor Architects, where Alan is the principal-in-charge as well as project architect for specific jobs. His project experience includes housing projects, medical facilities, office buildings, detention facilities, public works facilities, restoration projects, recreation facilities and educational projects.
Alan serves in an advising capacity to Vocational Education in Aberdeen & Hoquiam School Districts.  Alan assists with the Grays Harbor Chapter of Young Life, and also serves on the Hoquiam Historic Preservation Commission, Aberdeen Historic Preservation Commission, and the Neighborworks Board.
