EASTSIDE FIRE STATIONCITY OF HOQUIAMHOQUIAM, WASHINGTON
The City of Hoquiam received a Community Development Block Grant to remodel their antiquated, existing Eastside Fire Station. The new station has (3) apparatus bays sized to accommodate modern emergency equipment, which provide service to the Hoquiam citizens on the east side of the Hoquiam River. A full-time crew of (2) staffs this facility (24) hours per day/(7) days per week. While most heavy training, SCBA maintenance and turnout decontamination is accommodated at the main station, the Eastside Fire Station has a dayroom, kitchen and sleeping quarters for up to (3) staff. The new station was completed in February of 2015.
